The concept of annual Festivals came to life in May of 2010 after the final gathering of the Global Day of Prayer Manasota (GDOP) initiative. Many suggested that we should all gather together more often much like each scattered tribe gathered together in Jerusalem for the different Old Testament Feasts. These feasts were held three times a year at Jerusalem. This meant that Dan, who lived furthest North would in normal life have little to do with Judah who lived in the South. The feasts gave them an opportunity to come together. It was the feasts that kept them Jewish and this became a model for us. Like the Jews, we have established a rhythm of 3 festivals a year in our region. An activity or project flows out of each festival as an opportunity for believers to work together making an impact in the communities of the OMC.
